A 42-year-old man is behind bars after he allegedly killed a boy in a Reno apartment on Friday. Edward Rivas was arrested and booked into the Washoe County jail on open murder and first degree arson charges. Police responded to the 1200 block of Berrum Lane on the afternoon of Sept. 18 on the report of an unconscious juvenile.
