The Washoe County Health District’s Air Quality Management Division is issuing a Stage 2 Air Pollution Warning for Washoe County. Wildfires in theTahoe and Eldorado National Forests continue to contribute heavy smoke impacts in the Reno-Sparks area. This is the first time a Stage 2 warning has been issued by the health district. District officials say this warning is based on pollution particles that can harm the heart and lungs. Washoe County schools are on distance learing today.
