Carson City Mayor Robert Crowell dies at 74

Flags are flying at half-staff in Carson City due to the death of Mayor Robert Crowell. He died Friday after battling health issues. Governor Steve Sisolak issued a statement saying Mayor Crowell embodied what it meant to be a Nevadan and it would be impossible to overstate how much he meant to the community. Crowell was a Vietnam vet and retired Navy captain who helped kick off the first Vietnam Veteran honor flight in the country. Crowell was 74.
