Evacuation orders are in effect for the Rancho Haven community as the North Fire rages near Hallelujah Junction. The 3,000-acre fire is zero percent contained at this time. Investigators say the fire was sparked by a car pulling a camper trailer with a flat tire. The senior center on the 1000 block of Ninth Street is serving as an evacuation center, and the Reno Livestock Events Center is open for large animals. Two smaller fires–the South Fire and the Shoe Tree fire–also broke out, but were contained.
