Washoe County adds one death due to COVID-19, bringing the total to 114. The latest death involves a man in his 70s with underlying health conditions. The county added just over two dozen new cases and nearly 100 recoveries.
We now have the name of a woman killed, when she was struck in Sparks over the weekend. She is 32-year-old Alyssa Garcia. Police say Garcia was fatally struck Saturday night at Pyramid Highway and Los Altos Parkway.
A man under house arrest is back behind bars after Douglas County deputies say he bought a gun from an undercover officer. David Caylor, who’s a convicted felon, is prohibited from possessing a gun. He’s being held at the Minden Jail without bail.
