Woman struck, killed in Sparks identified

We now have the name of a woman killed, when she was struck in Sparks over the weekend. She is 32-year-old Alyssa Garcia. Police say Garcia was fatally struck Saturday night at Pyramid Highway and Los Altos Parkway.

Fire destroys home, kills 3 pets in Reno

Fire destroys a home, leaving five people homeless in Reno. Dozens of firefighters were called to Idlewild Drive for the Friday night fire, which firefighters believe started in the garage. Two firefighters suffered minor injuries. Two dogs and a ferret perished in the flames.
