A temporary homeless shelter is now open in a vacant Truckee Meadows Water Authority lot on 4th Street in Reno. It comes after a judge lifted a temporary restraining order–filed by an area businessowner–who claimed the shelter would hurt his business. The judge says the COVID-19 pandemic allows for city leaders to take emergency steps.
