Reno Police Officer Shoots Suspect After Accidentally being Hit by Taser

A reckless driving suspect was shot in the shoulder by a Reno Police officer on July 26, after the officer was accidentally struck in the knee by a Washoe County Sheriff’s Deputy’s Taser, according to new details released by the Reno Police Department. The suspect, a 43-year-old Reno man, was not following the deputy’s commands when officers arrived on the scene. He recovered from his gunshot wound. Internal affairs is looking into the case.
