Sisolak takes steps to alleviate unemployment backlog

With the highest unemployment rate in the nation, Governor Steve Sisolak signs a bill to extend unemployment benefits for Nevadans. Sisolak says the state is working on a backlog of claims and will extend the length of time benefits can be received using federal funds. The state has paid more than $6 billion in state and federal unemployment benefits since the pandemic began.
