Washoe County adds 35 cases, 36 recoveries

Washoe County adds nearly as many coronavirus cases as it does recoveries. COVID-19 cases ticked up by 35 while recoveries increased by 36. The county saw no new deaths with the death toll standing at 107. Sixty-seven persons remain hospitalized.

South Lake Tahoe has a new police chief

South Lake Tahoe has a new police chief. David Stevenson, who’s lived in South Lake for most of his live started as a patrol officer and worked his way up to lieutenant before becoming chief. He’s been with the department for 25 years. He’ll be sworn in next Monday.
