Arrest Made After Dayton Depot Blaze

A California man was arrested in connection with setting fire to a historic railroad station in Dayton. 63-year-old Kurt Selzer of Ventura allegedly started the fire with a lighter and acetone. The depot was a total loss, and the fire spread to the two other buildings and a home.

Face Masks in Casinos

Nevada casinos are now requiring gamblers and spectators to wear protective face coverings at table games that have no barriers. The Nevada Gaming Control Board updated its health and safety policy required for the reopening of casinos, tightening rules for gamblers sitting down to play.

Health officials are reporting one death, a record 83 new coronavirus cases and 46 recoveries in Washoe County on Thursday. The death was a man in his 60s with underlying health conditions. A backlog at the state lab was the reason for the record-high 83 new cases.

Nevadans convicted of low-level marijuana offenses to be pardoned

Governor Steve Sisolak is calling it a “historic day.” The state Board of Pardons Commissioner has approved a resolution proposed by the governor to pardon those convicted of low-level marijuana offenses. He calls this another step toward justice that’s long overdue since residents voted to decriminalize possession of small amounts of marijuana in 2016.
