1 dead in hit-and-run crash in Reno

One person is dead after a hit-and-run crash in Reno. Police say the person was struck at West 4th Street and McCarran Boulevard just after midnight. The person was taken to Renown, where they were pronounced dead. Officers are looking for a dark-colored mid-size SUV that they say has right side damage.

Modular home damaged by fire in Sun Valley

A home is uninhabitable after a fire in Sun Valley. Truckee Meadows firefighters were called to the 100 block of West 7th Avenue just after midnight Monday. They say no one was inside the modular home when it burned.

Sisolak pushes for green cars on NV roadways

The governor makes a push for cleaner cars on Nevada’s roadways. The Clean Cars Nevada initiative will push for dealers to provide more choices for Nevadans to include low and zero-emission electric cars and trucks beginning in 2024. Governor Steve Sisolak says the effort will help reduce pollution.

3 hurt, including infant in Dayton rollover

Three people, including an infant are hospitalized after a single-vehicle rollover in Dayton. Police say the car rolled over at US 50 and Douglas Street, ejecting the driver. Police believe the driver suffered some kind of medical episode while behind the wheel.

NV probation officers re-arrest man on drug charges

A man on parole is back behind bars in Reno. Acting on an anonymous top, Nevada’s Parole and Probation Division made contact with Devon Reuter, who they found was selling drugs from his home. Inside, officers say they found more than 200 grams of meth as well as two guns.
