For a fourth straight day, Washoe County’s death toll from COVID-19 remains unchanged at 61. Recoveries from the virus have surpassed 1,000. The county reported just a dozen new cases bringing the total number of active cases in the low 600s.
Reno police make a fourth arrest in connection with riots downtown over the weekend. Wesley Compton faces charges of felony theft and destruction of property. Police say he threw rocks at the station and parked cars and tagged the building with anti-police graffiti. They say Compton was carrying a replica police badge.

Reno police are investigating a double-shooting. It happened in broad daylight Tuesday near 2nd and Ralston streets. Police say two people were hospitalized and are expected to survive. So far no arrests have been made.
A man is hospitalized after being rescued from the Truckee River. Reno firefighters say the man jumped into the river Tuesday. He was removed from the waters near the Booth Street bridge.
