Washoe County added two dozen COVID-19 cases Sunday…bringing the total to nearly 1750 cases. Of those, 625 persons have recovered leaving about 560 active cases. No new deaths were reported. The death toll now stands at 65.
Four people are arrested on DUI charges over the weekend in Reno. Police also gave out six traffic citations and 30 warnings as part of a drunk driving enforcement effort.
Welding sparks a fire in Reno. It happened Friday, which was a Red Flag Day. Firefighters were called to Western Skies Drive and Geiger Grade, where they say flames destroyed a boat, a fence, and burned some brush and debris. No one was hurt and no structures were damaged.

Reno police arrest two men in connection with a shots fired incident. They were called to the 8200 block of Offenhauser Drive in Reno Friday where they say a white Chevy Malibu fled the scene and three people ran on foot; two of them were caught. Police never found any shooting victims.
The Northern Nevada State Veterans Home in Sparks is testing all residents and team members for the coronavirus after a worker tested positive. Out of caution, the Veterans Home began testing employees and 43 residents who may have encountered that person.
One person was killed in a rollover crash Sunday night on Pyramid Highway. According the the Nevada Highway Patrol, it happened just before 10:00 P.M. near Egyptian Drive. Troopers say two cars were involved in the crash and speed was a factor. Three people were taken to the hospital, but one succumbed to their injuries.

A wildfire burning in steep terrain off Pyramid Highway in the Spanish Springs area is under control. The Kohl fire burned about 18 acres of grass and sage brush on BLM-owned land. No structures were threatened.
