Idlewild, Northwest pools, Neil Rd. rec center reopen

A reminder-Idlewild and Northwest pools are now open along with the Neil Road Recreation Center. Pools, in Phase 2, are only open for lap swim and water fitness classes. At the rec center, weight and cardio rooms are open along with pickleball courts. Social distancing must be practiced.

Reno police find body next to fire

Reno police say a woman’s body is found after a fire last week. They believe the fire off Comstock Drive was intentionally set last Tuesday. The woman’s body was found next to it.

Latest COVID-19 Numbers

Washoe County health officials reported no new deaths, 29 new cases of COVID-19 and 20 recoveries on Monday. There are currently 65 COVID-19 related deaths in Washoe County. Nevada DMVs to Reopen

The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) will reopen its doors starting Monday, June 15. Officials say the reopening will be done in a phased approach and will be serving those with the most urgent needs first. Services will be limited until roughly mid-July.
