Death toll in Washoe Co. from COVID-19 rises to 67

The death toll from COVID-19 in Washoe County ticks up, bringing the total to 67. The latest death involves a man in his 90s. The total number of cases increased by 44, marking the sixth highest single-day of increases since counting began. 590 cases remain active. Of those, 70 people are currently hospitalized.

Lake Tahoe loses some clarity

Lake Tahoe’s clarity has decreased by nearly eight feet. The UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center says a number of things factor into lake clarity, including precipitation, lake mixing, sediment, algae and climate warming.

Nevada Health Response released guidance on what activities youth sports teams can partake in during the state’s second phase of reopening.
