Washoe County may not have a clear picture of its COVID-19 case count due to a what local health officials called a backlog in testing at the state lab. Health Officer Kevin Dick says the county still hasn’t received results from testing that happened a week ago. The backlog is tied, in part to state testing of all inmates. The county picked up 83 new cases Thursday and one new death–a man in his 60s. The death toll now stands at 72.
