Wind detection signs going up on US 395 in North Valleys

New wind detection signs are going up along U.S. 395 in the North Valleys. NDOT’s work will mean shoulder closures in both directions of the highway from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends starting Tuesday and lasting until May 22nd. When it’s done, there will be six wind warning signs-three in each direction-between Golden Valley and Bordertown-that will flash when wind gusts reach 45 miles per hour or greater. Vehicles over nine feet will be advised not to travel.
