Plans for Washoe County parks from May through August of this year were laid out during a meeting of the Washoe County Board of County Commissioners. Currently the county’s parks are in Phase 1 of reopening. That means trails, restrooms, basketball courts, dog parks, skate parks, and archery facilities are open. So is the county’s shooting range. Large group gathering areas like playgrounds and large picnic areas remain closed however. When phase 2 comes it will involve opening Davis Creek campground, park offices, the Hive at Lazy 5 Regional Park, and resuming Bower’s Mansion tours. Classes and programs will also start up again.
