Nevada Health Response reported that there are 7,166 positive cases of coronavirus. They also reports that 378 people have died from the virus statewide. The Washoe County Health District reports the number of cases in the County is 1,305 with 48 deaths. The latest death was a woman in her 90s with underlying health conditions.

Quad-County region sees small uptick in COVID-19 cases

The Quad-County region saw five new positive cases of COVID-19, reported in Carson City and Lyon County, bringing the total number of cases to 150-of those 44 are active. Just four are hospitalized in the four-county area, which has seen 103 recoveries and three deaths.

Douglas Co. deputies arrest 2, shut down drug ring

Douglas County deputies have shut down a drug trafficking ring. Joseph Cudia of Sacramento and Diego Coralles of South Lake Tahoe were arrested after a hiding out in a vacation rental without permission. Over the court of the five-month undercover investigation, deputies say they purchased more than a pound of meth.

Another Nevada Quake this Morning

A magnitude-5.0 earthquake rattled Western Nevada this morning, just days after a 6.5 quake shook the same region near Mina and Tonopah. According to the United States Geological Society, the quake struck around 28 miles west-northwest of Tonopah at 5:36 a.m. Hundreds of aftershocks have been reported since the original quake struck.
