Washoe County picks up 3 more deaths from COVID-19

Washoe County’s death toll ticks up from COVID-19. It’s now at 43 with the three recent deaths involving men in their 70s and a man in his 50s. Recoveries are still leading over active cases. We’ve got 561 recoveries compared to 528 “active” cases.

SouthEast Connector speed limit raised

You can drive a bit faster on the SouthEast Connector. Reno says its increasing speeds to 55 miles per hour on a 5.5-mile stretch of the roadway. The original speed limit was 45 miles per hour. Public works crews are installing new speed limit signs.
