Health officials warn Washoe County not close to reopening

Washoe County is not close to reopening under Governor Steve Sisolak’s plans. The county must see a 14-day downward trajectory in new COVID-19 cases while maintain hospital capacity as well as have contact tracing workers in place. The Reno-Gazette Journal reports Washoe County says while new cases have plateaued, hospitalizations and deaths have not stabilized. The county also faces personal protective gear supply issues and it needs 42 contact tracers to keep up with current caseload.
