RSCVA close to running out of funding amid pandemic

The Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitor’s Authority is close to running out of money. Vice Chair Ed Lawson tells News 4 furloughs and salary cuts are on the table after projections show they’ll lose between 70 and 90 percent of revenue every month for the rest of the year due to cancelled conferences and events tied to coronavirus. The RSCVA could also dip into the county’s 5-million-dollar stabilization fuds.
