All non-essential workers at Tesla’s gigafactory, east of Sparks, will be furloughed. Starting Monday, they are not to report to work, and will remain off until May 4th. The workers will not be paid during this time, but their benefits will continue; they can apply for unemployment. Essential salaried employees will also see temporary pay cuts.
