Trio arrested after deputies say they tried to smuggle drugs into Ely Conservation Camp

Three people are arrested after police say they tried to smuggle drugs into the Ely Conservation Camp. The state Department of Corrections says Stephanie Pineda and Nayade Figuerdo-Serpa, and a 17-year-old boy traveled from Las Vegas, aiming to bring five ounces of meth for inmates to distribute it into Ely State Prison. Their vehicle was pulled over on US-93, not far from the conservation camp. Both are being held on a $500,000 bail.
