The day following Governor Sisolak’s announcement of a task force to coordinate public and private sector COVID-19 efforts, a number of local nurses are concerned about shortages at their facilities. Locally, nurses said that N95 masks are in major need right now. According to the CDC, N95 mask have the ability to filter large and small particles. The standard surgical mask does not effectively filter small particles from the air.
