The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles held several town hall meetings for residents across the Silver State Wednesday to provide information on obtaining a Real ID. After October 1st, everyone who is traveling through airport security or wanting to enter federal buildings will need one. You can still fly with a passport after October 1 instead of a Real ID. You need several documents to get a Real ID including a proof of identity, proof of social security and at least two documents that prove Nevada residency.
