4-and-a-half million passengers—that’s how many the Reno-Tahoe Airport served this past year. KOLO-TV reports traffic is up nearly 6 percent from last year, marking the fifth straight year of increases. The airport’s management says the record growth can be traced back, in part, to the introduction of larger aircrafts on several west coast routes. The increase in traffic is expected to continue in 2020 when Allegiant Airlines will double capacity to Las Vegas and Alaska Airlines will upgrade its aircraft for flights to Seattle.
