The first Friends of Washoe County Library book sale of the year starts this weekend. Members get a sneak peek today before it opens to the public; and it’s easy to join the club. Every year the Fiends raise more than $100,000 for things like books, technology, and special programming at libraries across the county. Now they’re working on other partnerships with the Nevada Museum of Art and the Fleishmann Planetarium. You can get more information at washoelibraryfriends.org. Most of the books at the sale are donated – so you never know what you might find.
