Cases of flu are spiking in Washoe County. The health district says two residents have now died from the flu-and a third death is under investigation; all of the victims are under the age of 40. So far, nearly 100 people have been hospitalized. They say this season is shaping up to be worse than last year’s. If you haven’t gotten your flu shot yet, they’re reminding you now’s a good time to do it.
