Abandoned vehicles littered along roads and dumped on private property is becoming more and more of a problem in Sun Valley. Captain Don Gil, of the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, said it’s become an epidemic. in 2019 there were a reported 593 abandoned vehicles across the county. That’s up from an average of 193 in previous years.
