Concerns Over Nevada Caususes

Concerns have been growing that next week’s Nevada caucuses could offer a repeat of the chaos that ensnared the Iowa vote, with Nevada facing many of the same organizational and technical challenges that crippled Iowa’s process. Volunteers who will be leading the Feb. 22 caucuses said key information had yet to be shared.

Water Bills Hacked in Carson City

Two thousand Carson City residents have had their personal information stolen, following a hack of the city’s water bill payment system. According to the Carson City Manager’s Office, those that have been impacted will be receiving a letter from city officials. Carson Schools Chief Gets New Contract

The Carson City School Board of Trustees met Tuesday evening to discuss some important issues. They voted unanimously to approve a new two-year contract for Superintendent Richard Stokes. It starts in July and runs through June 2022. A small percentage increase was also voted on, increasing Stokes’ salary to $173,189 beginning this summer.

Man arrested after high-speed chase along I-80

A man is arrested after he led Washoe County deputies on a high-speed chase that ended in northwest Reno. Police handcuffed Obed Pigg Sunday after he led them on a nine-mile chase on eastbound I-80, wherein he reached a speed of 120 miles per hour.
