Nevada’s first execution stalled until October

Nevada’s first execution in 15 years has been delayed until at least October. A federal judge in Las Vegas issued an injunction earlier this week that prevents the state from executing four-time convicted murder Zane Floyd next month. Judge Boulware agreed with Zane’s attorneys that more time is needed to determine using a new cocktail of drugs-that’s never been used before-is constitutional.
