Sisolak’s State of State to be virtual as he details $8.7B budget proposal

Governor Steve Sisolak’s State of the State will be virtual Tuesday night. His staff says it’s been pre-recorded. In his speech, he’s expected to give a summary of his biennium budget proposal. It includes nearly $8.7 billion in spending, down 2 percent from the year prior. It also rescinds state employee furloughs in Fiscal Year 22-23 budget. Tonight, Sisolak is also expected to offer a message of hope for Nevadans, saying we’ll recover from this crisis, and that our resilience should never be doubted.
