Rural NV farmers will feel effects if drought continues

More than 70 percent of the state is in extreme drought, and it could soon impact farmers and ranchers in rural Nevada. Experts say if we don’t see enough rain or snow soon, it could mean water shortages and crop losses later this year. The National Weather Service says Reno has seen just 30 percent of its normal rainfall for this time of year. The drought started 18 months ago.
