Nevada troopers fatally shoot an Elko man in a confrontation Friday night. Police say an officer pulled the man over for a traffic violation on River Street, near 12th Street. Officers suspected impairment and say the man fled on foot, and during the pursuit, drew a gun, firing multiple rounds at the deputy. The deputy fired back, issuing a fatal shot. The police-involved shooting is under investigation by Elko Police and Washoe deputies.
