The Nevada Highway Patrol says crews responded to a fatal crash near South Virginia Street and Tamarack Junction on Thursday. A male motorcyclist died after crashing with an SUV. Officials said multiple witnesses said the motorcycle was driving at a high rate of speed prior to the crash. NHP says the motorcycle was going southbound on Virginia, and the SUV was turning left to go northbound when the crash happened. The female driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
