A Carson City woman in her 70s has tested presumptive positive for the coronavirus,. Officials say the woman became sick after recently traveling to San Jose. During her travels, she was not symptomatic. The woman and her husband are currently self-isolating at home and are monitored daily.

The Washoe County jail says its ready to combat coronavirus. Sheriff Darin Balaam says they’ve increased medical screenings of inmates and sanitation procedures throughout building. They’ve also established a plan to quarantine inmates, if necessary. So far, there’s been no restrictions on visitors.

Man shot in leg in Sparks

A man is shot in the leg in Sparks. It happened on the 4000 block of Moorpark Court just after midnight. Police say the man’s injury is not life-threatening. No one’s been arrested. A $1,000 reward is being offered in the case.

Laundromat burglarized in Douglas Co.

Douglas County deputies need your help finding a man who burglarized a laundromat. Deputies say a man was caught on surveillance Friday entering a 24-hour laundromat at Centertown Drive and U.S. 395 and tried to pry open vending machines. They say the burglar had a lookout in a light-colored VW Bug with a sun-roof.
