Forty People Displaced by Blaze in Reno

Around 40 people are displaced after an explosion Saturday at the Sunset Motel on West Fourth Street in Reno. According to RFD officials, gas caused an explosion in a room at the motel. A mattress also caught fire in the room, but officials could not say if it burned before or after the explosion. No injuries have been reported.
RFD and Red Cross are giving the displaced residents pre-loaded debit cards with enough money to last several days until more permanent living can be found.
