Reno police did a pedestrian safety operation on Friday and Saturday, and issued 61 citations during that time. Eight officers took part in the enforcement. Police also issued 17 warnings and made one misdemeanor arrest. The operation focused on pedestrians and drivers in areas where there are more pedestrian accidents, and where authorities get more complaints about pedestrian safety.
