Children ages 5 to 11 can begin getting vaccinated against COVID-19 in Washoe County starting this weekend. The health district will offer the Pfizer pediatric vaccine on a first-come first-served basis Saturday at their office on East 9th Street. No appointments are required. The pediatric dose of the vaccine is one-third of the dosage that persons ages 12 and up receive. Two doses are still required three weeks apart.
