South Lake Tahoe man on parole for domestic violence facing similar charges

South Lake Tahoe police arrest a man following an armed standoff. Police say James Sherfield-Morrison was wanted in connection with a violent domestic assault in which he’s accused of strangling his girlfriend. She suffered several broken bones in the attack. The Tahoe Daily Tribune reports police say he holed up inside a home with a rifle, baseball bats, and knives, before police used gas to lure him out after three hours Tuesday. Sherfield-Morrison was already on parole for domestic violence causing traumatic injury when he was arrested.
