A mother who is facing charges for allegedly exposing her infant to fentanyl is now accused of smuggling drugs into jail. Washoe deputies say Elizabeth Irvin of Reno and another unknown inmate took an unknown ingested substance. The other inmate was found unresponsive and had to be revived with NARCAN. Irvin was initially charged with child abuse causing substantial bodily harm and child abuse and neglect after her baby was found not breathing at a home on Whites Creek Lake Sunday morning. Paramedics had to use NARCAN to revive the child. Irvin will now likely face additional charges.
