A Sparks man is recovering after police say he was shot by his roommate. Samuel Espinoza faces charges of battery with a deadly weapon and being a felon in possession of a gun. Police say he shot his roommate on the 400 block of 12th Street Tuesday night. Espinoza was found at a Motel 6 a short time later and engaged in a standoff with offers before his arrest.
