Highway 50 has reopened over Echo Summit after a rockslide late last night. Chain controls remain effect from Meyers to about 4500 feet of elevation near Fred’s Place. Thousands of customers in El Dorado County who were in the dark have mostly had their power restored. Traffic is also flowing again I-80 with restrictions in place for commercial vehicles. The powerful storm has toppled trees and brought historic flooding to both Nevada and California. Multiple landslides were also reported on State Route 70 in California, where Dixie Fire burn scars are still fresh.
