This weekend’s heavy rains, while causing historic flooding in some spots, has helped raise Lake Tahoe’s water levels. The lake is now back above its natural rim after drenching rains persisted from Friday through Monday morning. The lake still has room for another 5.5 feet of water before it reaches its maximum elevation.
