The treasurer of the state Democrat Party has resigned. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports treasurer Howard Beckerman resigned over a statement he made about ongoing violence between Israel and Palestine, saying he stands with Israel. Party chair Judith Whitmer says the Israeli government has committed “injustices” “violence” and human rights violations against Palestinians.
