Man sentenced to 12 years in road rage incident in Sparks

A man is sentenced to more than a decade in prison in connection with a road rage incident in Sparks. Kelvin Torres of Reno pleaded guilty to two counts of assault with a deadly weapon in February. He was sentenced to two consecutive six-year prison terms. Police say Torres caused a car to crash into a guardrail and shot at the vehicle several times in a road rage incident near McCarran and El Rancho boulevards in October of 2020.
