A popular boat ramp won’t be open this summer due to low water levels. The unusually dry winter has forced the boat ramp at El Dorado Beach to close to motorized vessels over the summer. Non-motorized boats can access the lake as long as they’re “cleaned, drained, and dry.” Water levels right now in the Tahoe Basin are about half of normal levels.
