A Sparks police officer is suing the city. KOLO-TV reports Officer George Forbush claims he was unjustly disciplined misconduct over tweets he posted from a personal social media account. He says he was placed on administrative leave over his private words that he says is a violation of his First Amendment rights. Sparks had no comment on pending litigation. City council is expected to decide whether they’ll hire outside counsel in the case Monday.
