Students in Carson City are rejoicing-they won’t have to make up any days at the end of this year. The district missed six days of instruction due to weather this year, but the state Department of Education says they’ve still met the required instruction time needed under state regulations. Given the unpredictability of weather in northern Nevada, each year, the district builds in extra days to its school calendar as contingencies.
